VQL comments get removed after edit and save

Hi there, I tried to add a comment to the VQL description of a selection-query, which I created and saved. I tried different comment styles as described in the docs (#, //, /* ... */). Why are the comments removed after saving the edit? Thanks

Hi, This is related to another question [here](https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=9064u000000L8aAAAS&title=Preserve+View+Comments). Denodo does allow you to make VQL comments, however you are not allowed to make comments in the data definition in the VQL tab of a view. The way you are using comments could be applied to the ‘Description’ sections of the schema or output tabs of the views. Derived views will inherit the description from the base views. You can refer to [Object Descriptions](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/vql/language_for_defining_and_processing_data_vql/object_descriptions/object_descriptions) in the **Virtual DataPort VQL Guide**, [Viewing the Schema of a Base View](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/creating_data_sources_and_base_views/viewing_the_schema_of_a_base_view/viewing_the_schema_of_a_base_view#viewing-the-schema-of-a-base-view) and [Creating Derived Views](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/creating_derived_views/creating_derived_views#creating-derived-views) in the **Virtual DataPort Administration Guide** for more information. Hope this helps!
