Run 2 Core Licence on 4 Core Server

Hello, we have a 2 Core Licence, running on a 2 Core Server. We realized, that the Server is at its limit, when there is aditional load to the Denodo service. For example, when we scan vor Viruses, sometimes Denodo Services get shut down due to high load. Is it possible, to run a Denodo 2 Core Licence instance on a 4 core Server, by for example limiting the number of cores for Java to 2? Best regards, David

Hi, There is a way to limit the number of processors used in Denodo. However, it depends on the operating system where the Denodo Platform is running. For example, in Windows I would open *Task Manager* and go to the *Details* tab, find the Denodo process, right-click the process, select *Set Affinity* and set the amount of processors on the process. However, for Linux I would use the command ***taskset [mask] [ command [arguments]]***. You can refer to the [How to Limit the Number of Processors Used by Denodo]( article in the **Knowledge Base** for more information.
