Hi, Virtual DataPort uses the Apache Log4j library to log all Virtual DataPort Server and Administration Tool activities. In general, only administrator users and those with the “serveradmin” role are able to assign permissions and roles. You can enable the logging of queries in "<DENODO_HOME>/logs/vdp/vdp-queries.log" to contain detailed information about the VQL requests. To do that, execute the below mentioned LOGCONTROLLER stored procedure in VQL Shell which will allow you to keep track of permission and role changes during runtime: `CALL LOGCONTROLLER(‘com.denodo.vdp.management.mbeans.request.RequestsManagementInfo’, ‘INFO’)` Note: When the server is restarted, the log level will be reset to the default “ERROR” log level. Presently, you can view the current permissions granted to a user or role using the [CATALOG_PERMISSIONS](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/vdp/vql/stored_procedures/predefined_stored_procedures/catalog_permissions#catalog-permissions) stored procedure, as you mentioned. You can read [LOGCONTROLLER](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/vdp/vql/stored_procedures/predefined_stored_procedures/logcontroller#logcontroller) section of Virtual DataPort VQL Guide and [Log column details](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Log%20column%20details?category=Operation) Knowledge Base article for more information on this topic. Hope this helps!
