'Source-to-Target' like dokumentation

Hi We need a 'Source-to-Target' like dokumentation, primary on for Views. I Design Studio we have the 'Used By' Option but it's hard to get an overview of the sitiation . Is there other way's to create an Overview picture on how View's are used 'downstream'??

Hi In general ** [‘Used by’](** dialog displays the diagrammatic representation of the views in tree structure with its dependencies such as derived view, data source. For instance: When you click the ‘Used by’ dialog of the ‘View_A’ it will show all of the dependencies such as the derived view ’View_B’ which is created over the View_A and the data source name of the view ‘View_A’. It would also show the views that use ‘View B’ in a hierarchical manner, covering all the dependencies. So, I believe ‘Used by’ has all the information you are looking for. However, you could also make use of the ** [‘VIEW_DEPENDENCIES’](** Predefined Stored Procedure of the Virtual DataPort. You could execute the Stored Procedure in ‘VQL Shell’ with the optional parameters such as **view_name, dependency_name, view_type** etc. You could write VQLs with specific conditions to achieve your requirement. For eg: **SELECT * FROM VIEW_DEPENDENCIES() WHERE VIEW_NAME = ‘<name of the view> OR DEPENDENCY_NAME = <name of the view>** Hope it helps!
