Hi,
I would recommend to have Solution Manager and Denodo Platform installed in **different** machines. Since Solution Manager is bundled with its own Virtual DataPort Server for authentication purposes, putting it on the same machine as primary Virtual DataPort Server might result in both port conflicts and a potentially large amount of resource usage as mentioned in the [General Architecture](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/solution_manager/administration/introduction#general-architecture) documentation.
However, if you have sufficient CPU and RAM available, you can assign unique ports for one of the two installations and test this setup in your lower environments before installation of Production Server.
You can look at the [Recommendations when Running Denodo on Amazon AWS](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/platform/installation/preinstallation_tasks/hardware_requirements/hardware_requirements#recommendations-when-running-denodo-on-amazon-aws) , [Preinstallation Tasks](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/platform/installation/preinstallation_tasks/preinstallation_tasks#preinstallation-tasks) section of Denodo Platform Installation Guide and [Preinstallation Tasks](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/solution_manager/installation/preinstallation_tasks/preinstallation_tasks#preinstallation-tasks) section of Solution Manager Installation Guide for more information.
Hope this helps!
