Authentication through Headers

Hi, Denodo Team, We want to delegate the authentication of users to an identity provider using SAML. We know that this is possible in Denodo, but in our case, our applications are redirected to apache machines. The apache machines are in charge of making the identification, and as a result, they will provide HTTP authentication headers to the denodo applications. Is this possible? Can denodo aplications delegate authentication through Headers? Thanks.

Hi, In general, the authentication of users can be delegated to identity providers like SAML which is a IDP-initiated protocol. In your case, the authentication is delegated to a header-based authentication method which is more like a service-initiated protocol. Currently, Denodo doesn't provide service initiated protocol yet. Denodo is capable of delegating the authentication of users using the below protocols: * SAML * OAuth * OpenID connect For further information about the authentication protocols, you could refer to [Authentication Methods](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/latest/en/solution_manager/administration/authentication_and_authorization/authenticating_with_sso/authenticating_with_sso) section. Hope this helps!
