I am a student entering the industry as a data analyst. I use various data sources including SQL server, Oracle 12c, Apache Hive tables, MySQL. I just learned about Denodo in a job inquiry and was interested in how I can integrate it into analytics pipeline, my primary tools for analytics are R, Tibco Spotfire and Tableau, please point me to the most rele. And is it true that I can not use ODBC Data sources? I am a student who would like to integrate a data integration tool into analytics pipeline for a senior project is there any way to get 30-day trail to the platform as my project is using big data and 10,000 rows is very limited. Thanks

Hi, You could connect to Virtual DataPort from Tibco Spotfire using both JDBC and ODBC, we recommend to use JDBC over ODBC. Refer the Knowledge Base article [Connecting to Denodo from Tibco Spotfire](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Connecting%20to%20Denodo%20from%20Tibco%20Spotfire?category=Northbound+Connections). Using ODBC adapter you could connect to Tableau and create a Denodo Data source in Tableau desktop. Refer the Knowledge Base article [Connecting Tableau Desktop to Denodo](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Connecting%20Tableau%20Desktop%20to%20Denodo?category=Northbound+Connections). Virtual DataPort provides access for ODBC data sources, if you are using Denodo express edition then only Microsoft Access and Excel ODBC adapters are supported. Refer the document [ODBC sources](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/vdp/administration/creating_views/importing_data_sources_and_creating_base_views/odbc_sources#odbc-sources). As Denodo Platform for AWS offers the same functionalities as the full-fledged Denodo Platform, I would recommend you to use it which provides you with a 30-day free trial. You can download it from the [AWS Marketplace](https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/seller-profile/ref=dtl_pcp_sold_by?ie=UTF8&id=375933c7-ef48-4e99-a007-cb30e7bdf8d6). Have a look at the document [Denodo Platform for AWS 6.0 - Quick Start Guide](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/DenodoPlatformForAWSQuickStartGuide) and Knowledge Base Article [Installation steps on a cloud environment](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Installation%20steps%20on%20a%20cloud%20environment?category=Installation+%26+Updates) for detailed information on Denodo Platform for AWS. Hope this helps you!
