Error with data movements using Excel files

Hello, I have a Derived View which contains multiple joins to other Derived and Base Views. The Base Views are sourced from individual Excel files. The Derived Views are derivations and joins on those Excel files. I wanted to turn on the Data Movement feature ('Enable Data Movement') for each Base View in the Execution Plan (where the Data Movement is to happen in the Cache database which is MySQL). After I set all the underlying Views in the Execution Plan and then execute the view, I am getting the following error: "Finished with error: There was an error simplifying view with data movements". Am I not allowed to set all underlying objects in the Execution Plan to 'Enable Data Movement'?

Hi, I was doing several tests and I wasn't able to reproduce your issue. You're allowed to set all underlying objects in the Execution Plan to _Enable Data Movement_. However, if you're using full cache, you don't need to enable data movement because the join operation will be delegated to the cache. You should take into account the [Data Movement]( document in order to configure you Virtual DataPort. Also, you have to take into account the [Known Limitations]( of Data Movement. Hope this helps!
