Differentiated Stages in Denodo Query Execution

Hi Team, just want to understand, how denodo can plan the exquery excecution. which is the right process? 1.Query parsing, optiomization, integration and excuting the query or 2.Query parsing, static optimization, dynamic optiomization and excuting the query which is correct from 1 and 2? means denodo always check the static optimization for each query before excecution? Thanks, Saidi

Hi, The whole life cycle of a VQL query is as follows: Translation to VQL > Query Parsing > [Static Optimization](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/optimizing_queries/automatic_simplification_of_queries/automatic_simplification_of_queries) > Query Plan Generation > [Dynamic Optimization](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/optimizing_queries/cost-based_optimization/cost-based_optimization) > Execution Engine The Static Optimization is enabled by default but can be disabled in the Server Configuration menu. I would take a look at the documentation on [Executing Statements](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/vql/general_overview_of_virtual_dataport/executing_statements/executing_statements) to learn more about the life cycle of a VQL query Hope this helps!
