User interface of the express version appears to small on Windows 10.

The user interface is unusable on the express version of your product on Windows 10. I had to uninstall the version because I could not use it on Windows 10.

Hi, I have installed the Denodo Express version in Windows 10 operating system and when I opened the Virtual DataPort Administration tool, it was opening as expected for me. I would recommend you to check the resolution of your screen size and try opening again. Hope this helps!!

I had the same issue and this is a Java issue. Here are some explanations on how the developer can fix this in his app and also a workaround for users: https://superuser.com/questions/988379/how-do-i-run-java-apps-upscaled-on-a-high-dpi-display Steps I did to fix the issue: 1. Find Denodo Plateform shortcut 2. Right click -> Properties 3. Go to Compatibility tab 4. Check Override high DPI scaling behavior. 5. Choose System for Scaling performed by: Thanks, Hubert

I had to apply Hubert's steps to javaw.exe since the Compatibility tab is only available to Windows exe's and I couldn't set this on the Denodo 7.0 Platform shortcut file, nor the .bat file that it linked to. So, between steps 1 & 2, this is what I did: 1.1: Right click on the Windows shortcut and choose Open File Location (this brings you to the Denodo Home directory, DENODO_HOME=C:\Users\<logon name>\Virtual DataPort Administration Tool of Denodo Platform-7.0) 1.2: Locate the Denodo JRE home directory within denodo_platform.bat: DENODO_JRE_HOME=%DENODOHOME%/jre. If you are using another JRE location, use that one instead. In my case, I used all of the Denodo installation defaults. 1.3: In DENODO_JRE_HOME, locate javaw.exe. Then continue with step 2 from Hubert's steps above.

Hi, When using a monitor with a high DPI display, Windows will display the Denodo Control Center, the Virtual DataPort administration tool and the ITPilot Wrapper Generation Tool with a very tiny font. To avoid this problem, I would follow the **steps** mentioned in section [Launching the Denodo Standalone Applications in High DPI Displays](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/latest/platform/installation/appendix/launching_the_denodo_standalone_applications_in_high_dpi_displays/launching_the_denodo_standalone_applications_in_high_dpi_displays) of Denodo Platform Installation Guide. For more information, refer to the similar community question [Resolution of Admin Tool](https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=9060g0000004FW9AAM&title=Resolution+of+Admin+Tool). Hope this helps!

Hi Denodo Team, I had already found and tried unsuccessfully the steps outlined in "Launching the Denodo Standalone Applications in High DPI Displays of Denodo Platform Installation Guide", in the Denodo provided remote AWS machine I've changed properties of java.exe and javaw.exe neither resolved the issue, I also attempted to modify the windows registry however as this is a Denodo AWS machine I don't have permissions to make the suggested change, is this something the Denodo AWS image team can make? The 'Resolution of Admin Tool' shows others seemingly unable to resolve the same issue and takes me to the same unsuccessful guide "Launching the Denodo Standalone Applications in High DPI Displays of Denodo Platform Installation Guide" https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=9060g0000004FW9AAM&title=Resolution+of+Admin+Tool Let me know if I can help with the fix in anyway. Thanks, Alex

Hi, You can contact sales@denodo.com or fill out this contact form https://www.denodo.com/action/contact-us/ if you are evaluating the Denodo Platform and you have any question/issue about the evaluation of the tool. If you are using a Test Drive or a trial, I would like to let you know that currently there is not an option available for High DPI displays, but that will be evaluated for future versions. If you are using an official Denodo Platform for AWS machine, I would recommend you to navigate to the main page of the AWS version you are using and scroll down to the "Support Information" section. Here you would see how you can get advanced support from by accessing the Denodo Support services. Hope this helps!
