Denodo Cache question

Hi Support, is it possible to use two different cache source at a same time? I mean to say to separate databases(like teradata & oracle) as cache? and If yes, then how we will synch up both at a same time? Thanks.

Hi, You can enable cache in Denodo in Virtual database level or Server level. To enable cache through Virtual database level ,you can proceed with the below steps: * Launch the Virtual DataPort Administration Tool. * Navigate to the Administration >Database Management. * Choose the database that you want to cache. * Select the cache icon. You can also enable the cache through server level as well. To do that, kindly proceed with below steps: * Launch the Virtual DataPort Administration Tool. * Navigate to the Administration>Server Configuration>Cache. * Select the cache configuration details. For example, if you enable cache through server level (lets say, Teradata is configured) and Oracle source is configured as cache in database level, then the views belonging to the database where Oracle is used as cache will use Oracle as the cache engine otherwise, if any other view from different Virtual database is cached, it will be stored under server level cache source (Teradata). For more information, you can take a look at the[ “Configuring the Cache”](https://www.google.com/url?q=https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/server_configuration/configuring_the_cache/configuring_the_cache&sa=D&source=docs&ust=1641217403693333&usg=AOvVaw0rSQEb3lZzAlOBRNkceR8v) section under the Virtual DataPort Administration Guide. Hope this helps!
