Restoring metadata via server restore

Hello team, We are having issues with an import of our data on one of our servers, so we are planning to revert the servers to an earlier backup to restore data to how it was prior to the import we ran. In order to do so, we are simply restoring all data on our server (linux) in the opt/denodo directory, which is one step above where our denodo home install directory is. Would we need to worry about restoring any other locations on our server, or would we be in good shape simply reverting the original location and leaving everything else?

Hi, Yes, Restoring the “opt/denodo” directory with earlier backup would be sufficient to restore metadata of the server to its previous state. For more information, you can refer to the “Stage 6: Backup and Recovery Policies” section in the [Expert Trail: Operations](https://community.denodo.com/expert-trails/view/document/Expert%20Trail%3A%20Operations#Backup%20and%20Recovery%20Policies) document and Knowledge Base article [Is it possible to uninstall a Denodo update?](http://https://community.denodo.com/kb/en/view/document/Is%20it%20possible%20to%20uninstall%20a%20Denodo%20update%3F). Hope this helps!
