Hope you are doing well.
Starting and launching design studio are all referring to user’s attempt to make use of the Design Studio
web application provided by Denodo Platform.
However, we could make a slight distinction here since Design studio application may need to be started
(or activated) provided that it did not start automatically especially when the solution manager is used.
Below steps describe the common process.
Typically, after installing and running the Denodo Platform, you have to:
1. First, start Denodo’s main server, the Virtual DataPort (VDP).
2. Then, perform necessary configurations on the VDP.
3. Next, Start the design studio. There are two ways of starting the Design Studio instance. Either by using Denodo Platform Control Center or by using a script. More details can be found here.
4. Then, when started properly you will be able to launch and access the design studio web application. That is, the design studio login page will be shown, and you can log in easily. Once logged in you could start building your virtual models (connections to databases, web services, views…etc.).
