Authentication to Rest web services with Virtual DataPort credentials

Hello, Is there any safer authentication than the basic authentication with VDP that allows to connect to the Rest web services deployed with denodo ? Indeed Basic Auth is not safer enough and we would like to applied the user or role privilegies, defined with denodo, when we make request to the web services with a specific user while using a stronger authentication. Is there any way to achieve that? Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Hi I would be able to use any of the following authentication method to protect the access to a REST service: * HTTP Basic * HTTP Basic with VDP * HTTP Digest * OAuth 2.0 and OpenID * SAML 2.0 Also, I would [enable SSL/TLS](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/platform/installation/postinstallation_tasks/enable_ssl_connections_in_the_denodo_platform_servers/enabling_https_in_the_embedded_apache_tomcat#enabling-https-in-the-embedded-apache-tomcat) on the Denodo web container to encrypt the data transferred by the web services. You can have a look at the section [Web Services Authentication](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/publication_of_web_services/web_services_authentication/web_services_authentication#web-services-authentication/) of the Virtual DataPort Administration Guide for more information. Hope this helps!
