Cannot create oracle as a data source

We have managed to setup the Denodo solution manager and we are in the midst of configuring the oracle data source. The connectivity testing is successful but up on saving we are getting an error stating “Error saving datasource: SourceType (…) are limited to 0 but 1 are found”. I have search the KBs / articles, could not find any articles related to the setup. Please help to clarify.

Hi, If I face this error, I would ensure that the Web Design Studio is connected to the Denodo Platform Virtual DataPort server and not the Solution Manager’s Virtual DataPort server. By default, the Solution Manager's Virtual DataPort server runs on port 19999 and the Denodo Platform Virtual DataPort server uses port 9999. Hence, you could connect to the Virtual DataPort server running on the Denodo Platform by modifying the Connection URI as mentioned below: > //<host_name>:<9999>/<database_name> You can take a look at the section [**Default Ports Used by the Solution Manager Modules**](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en//solution_manager/installation/appendix/default_ports_used_by_the_solution_manager_modules/default_ports_used_by_the_solution_manager_modules) of Solution Manager Installation guide and [**Default Ports Used by the Denodo Platform Modules**](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en//platform/installation/appendix/default_ports_used_by_the_denodo_platform_modules/default_ports_used_by_the_denodo_platform_modules) of Denodo Platform Installation Guide for more information. Hope this helps!
