Assign tag with VQL

Hi!, I'm trying to assign a created tag to a column through vql code. This is the sentence: ALTER TAG "SSN1" ADD_TO (VIEWS () COLUMNS (dev.anjana_menu.order_menu)); But I'm getting the following error: Error parsing command 'ALTER TAG "SSN1" ADD_TO (VIEWS () COLUMNS (dev.anjana_menu.order_menu))'

I anwer myself. The correct alter syntax would be the following: ALTER TAG otrotag ADD_TO (VIEWS () COLUMNS (dev.anjana_menu.order_menu)) REMOVE_FROM (VIEWS () COLUMNS ())

Hi, I am glad that you are able to identify the correct syntax to assign the tags to a specific column. To alter the existing tag through VQL Shell, you can use [ALTER TAG](,ALTER%20TAG,-statement%C2%B6). **For example:** ``` ALTER TAG "pc" ADD_TO (VIEWS () COLUMNS (sample_database.bv_customers.postalcode)) REMOVE_FROM (VIEWS () COLUMNS ()); ``` Alternatively, you can assign the Tags to a column graphically by performing the following steps: * Launch the Virtual DataPort Administration tool or Web Design Studio. * Navigate to the *Tags* tab and open the tag that you need to alter. * In the dialog, you can add or drop columns under the *Tagged Columns.* * Save the tag by clicking *Save*. You can refer to the [Tags Management]( section under the Virtual DataPort Administration Guide. Hope this helps!
