Hi, In order to use Incremental Mode in the cache, the view must have a field indicating when the row was last inserted/updated. Additionally, Virtual DataPort must support pushing conditions down to the source over the last inserted/updated fields. If the condition cannot be pushed down to the source, Incremental mode is useless because the source will be forced to return the entire result set. I suggest reading more about this in the “Incremental Mode” section of the Virtual DataPort Administration Guide. Within this section, I recommend reading the “Requirements a View Has to meet to Support Incremental Queries” section. Hope this helps!

Any chance of using SQL change Tracking feature for incremental refresh of cache ?

Hi, Incremental queries must use a Where clause which compares a field in the source to the last cache refresh date, as is described in the Administration Guide. Since the SQL Server Change Tracking Feature does not appear to create a last modified date in a field in the table, we do not think it can be used. Hope this helps!
