Choosing the fields returned in stored procedure call CATALOG_VDP_METADATA_VIEWS

Is there a way to limit the fields returned in the Stored Procedure call CALL CATALOG_VDP_METADATA_VIEWS . For example, I only need the following fields from this call: DATABASE_NAME: name of the database that the view of the field belongs to. VIEW_NAME: name of the view’s field. COLUMN_NAME: name of the field. COLUMN_TYPE_NAME: name of the type of the field in the “source type properties” of the field. E.g. VARCHAR, NCHAR, INTEGER, BIGINT, etc. These are the names of the constants defined in the class java.sql.Types of the JDBC API. When a client obtains metainformation of a field using the Denodo JDBC driver, it obtains these type names and not the names of Virtual DataPort types. COLUMN_TYPE_LENGTH: maximum length in bytes of the values of this field. COLUMN_DESCRIPTION: description of the field. If the field does not have a description, the value is an empty string.

Hi, I would recommend you to use ‘Select’ statement with ‘from’ clause containing the Denodo stored procedure to display the result with required columns. For example: ``` Select DATABASE_NAME, VIEW_NAME, COLUMN_NAME From CATALOG_VDP_METADATA_VIEWS(<database name>,<view name>) ``` The execution of the query will display result with the columns DATABASE_NAME, VIEW_NAME,COLUMN_NAME. Hope this helps.
