Ellipsis converting to a Special Character while downloading data from Denodo

We are using Denodo VDP 7.0. Our data has a … (Ellipsis) symbol in a row. The problem exists when the data is downloaded from Denodo or extracted from Denodo. Below is the problem. When we try to extract data from a Denodo view, the data gets changed into a special character (ââ) , when we see it in Excel. When the data is opened using a notepad, the data looks fine. Has anyone faced similar issue or if you can help.

Hi, I also came across a similar situation when trying to access the exported file from Denodo Platform using the third party tool (Excel). This happens because the Virtual DataPort **generates** the result file with **UTF-8** encoding whereas the third party tool (Excel) was unable to detect UTF-8 encoding. Hence, in order to avoid it, you could manually change the default **character encoding** of the third party **tool**(like Excel) to **UTF-8** for accessing the exported files. Hope this helps!
