Passing Parent Job Id to Child Jobs

How can I achieve the below scenario. I would like to create a Job which should - Generate parent job id and insert values on JDBC destination - Need to pick up the newly generated job id and pass it to other child jobs

Hello, Denodo Scheduler allows you to achieve such scenarios through the use of dependencies. Creating a dependency will make a job dependent on the execution of the other, like the theory of the parent and the child job you are referring to. You can read more about dependencies in Denodo Scheduler on the Denodo Platform 8.0 documentation on [Dependencies Among Jobs](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/latest/en/scheduler/administration/creating_and_scheduling_jobs/configuring_new_jobs/dependencies_among_jobs#dependencies-among-jobs). Now, the idea here would be to create a JDBC data source first in Denodo Scheduler, then create your “parent job” and export the required values to your JDBC source through the Exporters section. Then you would make the child job dependent on the parent job. On the child job you could create an extraction from that same JDBC source that you previously created by using the values coming from the JDBC source as an input for a parametrized query through mapping. Hope this helps!
