Hi,
Good day!
The very first time while I am trying to configure, I also faced same kind of situation. I have not edited the "hosts" file.
When the DQVM is launched and logged in. We can execute the command "ip addr" to get the IP of the machine you can use that for connecting to the data source for the different training labs. We have to edit the local host file (“C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc”) with admin privilege by using data-server as the hostname. Once changes made click on "save" button to save the file.
Whether the modification made in the hosts file is appropriate or not, you can perform this simple step. Open the command prompt and ping "ping data-server". If this works, your JDBC connection will also work accordingly.
