Getting error "received invalid response to SSL negotiation: H" when trying to connect to my Organisations denodo using Denodo ODBC. this occurs when i test the connection on the windows ODBC control panel as well as when I build the connection string and try connect through the .net odbc library. I have tried different ssl mode configurations to no avail

Hi, The most common cause of the error “received invalid response to SSL negotiation” is due to incorrect port set up in the Configuration file. The default port in which the VDP listens to the ODBC connection is 9996. Hence, I would suggest you to check the ODBC port in the Virtual Dataport Administration Tool by navigating to Administration > [Server Connectivity](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/administration/server_configuration/server_connectivity/server_connectivity#:~:text=to%20be%20reachable.-,ODBC%20port%20number,-%3A%20port%20to%20listen) or check the following property for the port number is being used for ODBC in the “VDBConfiguration.properties” file under the folder <DENODO_HOME>/conf/vdp ``` com.denodo.vdb.vdbinterface.server.VDBManagerImpl.odbcPort=9996 ``` In addition, please ensure the port which is being used in the [DSN configuration](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/developer/access_through_odbc/configuration_of_the_odbc_driver_on_windows/configuration_of_the_odbc_driver_on_windows#set-up-a-dsn-on-windows) is valid. Hope this helps!
