function 'leftpad' cannot be delegated to this database

I have created a selection view in denodo where i have applied some transformations and while executing got the error stating function 'leftpad' cannot be delegated to this database. Redshift is the data source. lpad works in reshift but doesn't work in Denodo. Can you please let us know equivalent function for leftpad/lpad that would delegate the function to redshift and also will work in Denodo. Awaiting for the response ASAP

Hello, I would refer to the documentation on [XtraFunctions - User Manual](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/document/denodoconnects/8.0/en/Denodo%20XtraFuncs%20-%20User%20Manual#h.xd9zavdg86fj) to address this. There you can find more about the LPAD function and which databases this function is currently delegated to in Denodo. From there, you can see Redshift is currently not supported. From here, I would suggest two options: * If you have a valid support user, you can open a support case and request an enhancement for leftpad to be delegated to redshift. * If you are running on a full-license of the Denodo Platform, you can also create your own custom function, that can be delegated to the source. You can learn more on how to in [Develop a Virtual DataPort Custom Function](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/vdp/developer/developing_extensions/developing_custom_functions/creating_custom_functions_with_annotations#developing-custom-functions-that-can-be-delegated-to-a-database). Hope this helps!
