Can Denodo VQL send emails?

I created a view that tists the metagroups (roles) that have been imported into Denodo. I'd like to send an email to these metagroups whenever there is an expected outage (when upgrading), or when a Denodo restored to service when it unexpectedly goes down. PL/SQL can send emails using a package. The scheduler can send emails but you can't specify a group list. But I am not able to find anything that would allow me to send an email with Denodo.

Hi, If your mail server offers an API for writing and sending mails you can create a data source to that API. By querying the base view of that data source you can call that API. You can also install the [Denodo Email Exported Files Custom Handler](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/document/denodoconnects/8.0/en/Denodo%20Email%20Exported%20Files%20Custom%20Handler%20-%20User%20Manual) which allows you to send e-mails containg the data from the scheduler export. With this custom handler you can specify multiple e-mail addresses. For that you would need to also configure the [Scheduler Mail settings](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/scheduler/administration/administration/server_configuration/server_setup#:~:text=amount%20of%20time.-,Mail%20Settings,-This%20section%20allows). As an alternative approach you could develop a Java Stored Procedure with which to call send your e-mails. This would allow to send your e-mails directly from the VQL Shell. Hope this helps!
