SQLAlchemy Denodo Connection Issues

Hi there, I am trying to use sqlalchemy with denodo but I am running into a few issues. I have the dialect added as per the instructions from your sqlalchemy dialects page, and I can parse the connection string it seems. However, whenever I create a connection it just hangs: ``` engine = create_engine("denodo://{username}:{password}@{host}:9999/{database}") conn = engine.connect() ``` it seems to just freeze when it reaches the assignment of the conn variable. Any code after trying to assign the conn variable just doesn't run and I have to kill the python process. I am using SQLAlchemy-1.3.20 as the newest version of sqlalchemy does not accept the denodo dialect (it says it cannot find it). Any ideas?

Never mind, I was using the JDBC port instead of the ODBC port. Working now!

Hi, I’m glad that you were able to establish the connection ! Please refer to [Denodo dialect with SQLAlchemy](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/document/denodoconnects/8.0/en/Denodo%20Dialect%20for%20SQLAlchemy%20%28feat.%20support%20for%20Apache%20Superset%20and%20Jupyter%20Notebook%29%20-%20User%20Manual) if you need more information on this topic. Hope this helps!
