Apachet Tomcat HTTPS not working

Hi, I want to connect to Adobe Analytics data source using the API with the OAuth credentials. For the process I need to enable the imbedded HTTPS which comes with Apache Tomecat. I have followed all the steps in the below guide in detail, but I am not able to get it working. I tried to connect using the link to the https design studio at the end and it did not manage to connect. Note: Under step 4.2. I noticed I did not have a **jmxssl.properties** file in the specified location, I am not sure if this is the cause of it not working? https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/platform/installation/postinstallation_tasks/enable_ssl_connections_in_the_denodo_platform_servers/enabling_https_in_the_embedded_apache_tomcat# Many thanks for all help.

Hi, I notice in your question that you're referencing Denodo 6.0 documentation. Can you verify which major version of Denodo you're working with? There are differences in setting up SSL/TLS between major versions of Denodo. Hope this helps

There are differences in setting up SSL/TLS between major versions of Denodo.< Apologies I sent the wrong link, I am using Denodo 8.0 Express and followed the https guide under the Denodo 8.0 documentation not 6.0. I did create my own jmxssl.properties file. But it still did not work after. https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/platform/installation/postinstallation_tasks/enable_ssl_connections_in_the_denodo_platform_servers/enabling_https_in_the_embedded_apache_tomcat

Hi, The jmxssl.properties file is only necessary when you've set the password encryption property to true. I'd recommend using the denodo_tls_configurator.bat script to configure SSL/TLS in Denodo 8.0 to first disable SSL so you're starting from a clean slate, and then use the script to make sure all the properties are setup. For more information about this script review the documentation for [Denodo SSL/TLS Configurator Script](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/8.0/en/platform/installation/postinstallation_tasks/enable_ssl_connections_in_the_denodo_platform_servers/denodo_tls_configurator_script). If you still continue to have problems, and have a valid Denodo support account I'd open a support case for further troubleshooting. Hope this helps!

When you run the Denodo SSL/TLS Configurator Script the jmxssl.properties file is created as part of the process. The settings for the various properties files are also updated via the script. So there's not any manual updates needed to be made other than the steps prior to running the script that involve getting the ssl file, and creating a credentials file.
