Authentication to VDP in Custom View Policy Context

Hi, I am developing a Custom View Policy, which sends a SQL-Query to VDP to get Tag information from get_view_tags() as in connection = DriverManager.getConnection(uri, user, passwd); PreparedStatement statement = connection.prepareStatement(SQLqueryTags()); statement.execute(); ResultSet result = statement.getResultSet(); Is there a way to re-use the authentication information of theoriginal user session to avoid setting the user/passwd in DriverManager.getConnection()? Hello, I understand that you would like to make a JDBC connection to execute a SQL query to access tag information from Virtual DataPort(VDP) using the *GET_VIEW_TAGS* stored procedure. For establishing connection, you could either hardcode the username/password or you could make it to be read from a .properties file in your Custom Policy. You can refer to previous community [Q/A]( to understand how to implement connection using .properties file. Hope this helps!
