Denodo Express 8 installation on Windows 11 always give authentication error with default admin account.

Hi Denodo Team, I encountered this authentication issue on Windows 11 with Denode Express 8. While the vpd.log gave nothing but vpd-admin.log showed: Connection error: com.denodo.vdb.admin.model.vdbserverproxy.VDBServerProxyException: authentication error: The username or password is incorrect I have tried the steps in installation guide multiple times, and every solution mentioned from answers in other Q&As. But none of them works. Such as, 1. Fresh installation or reinstallation after removal. 2. Configured standalone JDK 11 or the embedded OpenJDK 11. 3. VDP service was up and running. 4. No port was occupied by checking system stats with netstat. 5. admin / admin login always gave 'The username or password is incorrect' exception. Please advise. Thanks.

Never mind. Finanlly got in after several rounds of reinstallation. Not sure which fector below really mattered. 1. JAVA_HOME configured to JDK 11 path. 2. All browsers closed. 3. Installing only VDP only (without Scheduler or ITPilot).

Hi, Glad to hear that you solved. Remember that if you're wishing to install Scheduler or ITPilot you will need a new installation from scratch, it is not possible to add new compontents after and installation. Hope this helps.
