Denodo in Automated Release cycle

We are evaluating Denodo for one of our prestigous client. There are few queries which we have, if you can let me know the response. 1. Wrt Testing, we want to compare Denodo Testing Tool vs SoapUI / Postman. Can you let us know the pros and cons of using Denodo Testing Tool over SOAP UI / Postman to test Denodo component. 2. How Denodo fits in CI/CD process when run via Jenkins or Gitlab CI. This is not just for testing but for Build, Quality check and Deployment via Denodo. How we can leverage this as part of our automated CI/CD process. 3. As client is already using QuerySurge for ETL testing, can we leverage the same for testing Denodo components.

Hello there! Let me answer your questions one by one: 1. Denodo Testing Tool allows Denodo users to easily automate the testing of their data virtualization scenarios, both during the development of their virtualized solutions and during their maintenance. It is also a lightweight standalone application, executable from the command line with a simple user interface. Tests are specified in text files and organized in folders, no Java programming needed and executed in a completely automated manner. Test set executions can be integrated as a part of existing continuous integration (CI) processes with Jenkins or any other CI tool. As opposed to SOAP UI / Postman, this solution is strongly recommended for his integration with Denodo, simplicity and efficiency. With a support account you will be able to download it from the Support Site. 2. You can still use Jenkins or Gitlab CI for your CI but Denodo 7 with the Solution Manager makes it easier to manage large Denodo Platform deployments (check the [Administration Guide](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/solution_manager/administration/preface)), taking into account requirements of high availability and load balancing. This will improve the ease of management and make fail-proof automatic deployments. 3. Yes, QuerySurge can connect via JDBC using the connection extensibility feature. Once connected you will be able to use the Denodo Driver with standard SQL to query your data from QuerySurge. Hope you find this helpful!
