SSO from Tableau Server to Denodo

It has been stated before and known that Tableau to Denodo SSO works with Tableau Desktop, via Kerberos, but not with Tableau Server. Unfortunately many of our users access Denodo through tableau server (url) and have to sign in a second time to get to the views which are based on AD group membership. We are hoping to implement SSO of some kind to improve the user experience of our application. It may be a long shot, but does anyone have a solution or workaround that would solve this issue for us? We cannot use a service ID because the data available is based on group membership via role assignment.

Hi, As you could read in the [Connecting Tableau Desktop to Denodo article](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Connecting%20Tableau%20Desktop%20to%20Denodo?category=Northbound+Connections), Tableau Server doesn't support “Integrated Authentication”. However, Tableau Server can connect to Denodo with Kerberos authentication using a service account. When you publish a Denodo data source in Tableau server, you have the following options regarding authentication: * Prompt user: the user logs in to Tableau server and the first time it uses an object that involves Denodo server, the user will have to enter the credentials again. This happens only once per session. * Embedded password: the Data source always uses the same user/password to connect to Denodo Server. Hope this helps!

Hi! Just a quick update, as mentioned in this document: [How to connect to Denodo from Tableau Desktop](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/How%20to%20connect%20to%20Denodo%20from%20Tableau%20Desktop?category=Northbound+Connections) support for “Integrated Authentication” (single sign-on) was introduced in Tableau 2019.2. So if you are using a newer Tableau Server version SSO will work. Hope this helps!
