Search Configuration (Search Index)

Hi, I am using Denodo Express 6.0 and I am trying to implement search in view using indexing. I am following "Search Configuration" document and implementing VDPIndexer Job. I have filled up the information in Extraction Section and can able to see the views but can't see anything in Field name of Increamental Indexing when I check Enabled. In Exporters Section, it says "Selected Index must exist" on Index Name but I am not able to find which Index information is required here or should I have to create any Index before this process? I selected ARN-Index here. If I add a random name, It saved the Job but the state is NOTRUNNING and the result is ERROR when I run it. Could you please giude how I can configure search Index on the views? Thanks. Gohar

Hi, I would ensure at least one column with *date* datatype on the selected view to let the *Scheduler* know the initial date to build the *Incremental Indexing*. Otherwise, I would use {0} on the *Expression* to build the index from the last successful execution date. Also, I would first create an index on the *Aracne Administration Tool* and then use that index to create new *Exporter* on the *VDPIndexer* job. Hi, I am using Denodo free edition, and on it I dont't have the access on Aracne Administration tool. So it means I can't proceed without Aracne index or is there any other option to proceed without Aracne? Thanks. Gohar

Hi, As Aracne Server and Administration Tool are not available in the Express edition, you could request for a full version of Denodo either on premise or on cloud (available on [AWS](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/DenodoPlatformForAWSQuickStartGuide) or [Azure](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/DenodoPlatformForAzureQuickStartGuide)) to continue your analysis or evaluation of the product. Alternatively, you could create index on any of the external Elasticsearch servers and use it for the Search Configuration on Information Self-Service Tool. You can refer to the [Search Configuration](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/6.0/vdp/isst/configuration/search_configuration/search_configuration) section of the Information Self-Service Tool Guide to get more details.
