Hi, I was able to successfully connect and execute a view from a Hive data source. In the situation of this error, I would check if the JDBC driver version is correct. If you are using Hortonworks Hive or Cloudera Hive, you would have to put the JDBC driver in the specific folder: *<DENODO_HOME>\lib-external\jdbc-drivers\hive-1.2.1-hortonworks* or *<DENODO_HOME>\lib-external\jdbc-drivers\hive-1.1.0-cloudera* In the ‘Database adapter’ of the Data Source Configuration tab, select the specific adapter and not the generic Apache Hive adapters. You can refer to the [Supported JDBC Data Sources](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/appendix/supported_jdbc_data_sources/supported_jdbc_data_sources) section of the Virtual DataPort Administration Guide for more information. Hope this helps!
