Azure SQL DB connectivity with Denodo 7.0

Hello Team, I have a requirement where I have to consume tables in Azure SQL DB in Denodo via API. Means we want to use API exposed from SQL DB and using this we need to connect with Denodo. Is this possible and anybody has tried this, if yes, kindly share some steps on this. NOTE: I know, I can use JDBC connection for SQL DB connectivity but we have security restriction in our system. Any public cloud can not directly connect to Denodo directly, it should come via API. Please help.

Hi, I believe there are two points to clarify here. Firstly, based on a [Microsoft Azure Forum question](https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/azure/en-US/25d9baa4-2510-4ce4-b857-70a07e4ddea4/query-azure-sql-database-using-restapi?forum=azureapimgmt), the built-in REST API is supported for server and database management and not for getting records of tables. Therefore you will not be able to consume tables from Azure SQL DB through its REST API. However, it seems that Azure SQL DB is able to provide access to your data by exposing OData endpoints. To this point, Denodo provides means to consume OData services through [Denodo OData4 Custom Wrapper](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/document/denodoconnects/7.0/Denodo%20OData4%20Custom%20Wrapper%20-%20User%20Manual). You will be able to download the Custom Wrapper from the [Support Site](https://support.denodo.com/) under Downloads > DenodoConnects if you have a valid support account. Hope this helps!
