Docker deployment licensing

Hello Denodo Team! What is your licensing model for deployment in Docker container? Can a dockerized instance be spun of the existing enterprise license, or would it need its own license?

Hi, Denodo licenses are not based on the deployment type. From a licensing point of view, a Denodo server running in a Docker container is treated the same as a Denodo server running in a Virtual Machine or running in a Physical server. You can use the same license file for a containerized deployment of Denodo than for any other deployment, but if you want to use multiple deployments simultaneously you should be aware that they are considered separate Denodo Servers. In a cluster of containers (Docker Swarm/Kubernetes/…) each of the nodes running Denodo is considered a separate Denodo Server. Hope this helps!
