To add a parameter to a derived view

I have Denodo Express v7 and I'm trying to generate a view which handle view parameters, but the button to handle it in the Model Tab is always disabled, is it because I am using Denodo Express or it might be something else? (like some configuration issue or something). I also tried to add it via VQL (with the USING PARAMETER) but it throws me this error all the time: com.denodo.vdb.admin.model.vdbserverproxy.VDBServerProxyException: Syntax error: Exception parsing query near ''' Thanks in advance

Just to summarize: it isn't possible not only through the administration tool but also through vql import?

Hi, Yes, View Parameters cannot be created graphically or using VQL, which is one of the limitation of Denodo Platform **Express** version. You could take a look at [Limitations of the Denodo Express License](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/platform/installation/appendix/limitations_of_the_denodo_express_license/limitations_of_the_denodo_express_license) section under the Denodo Platform Installation Guide for more information. Hope this helps!
