Error obtaining the expressions to delegate the projected fields to source vdpcachedatasource

Hi, We are obtaining randomly this error (we run the job daily, but sometimes it produces failure, other days not): "Error obtaining the expressions to delegate the projected fields to source vdpcachedatasource" Last time we had to delete the view and create it again, with the exactly same structure. Regards, Pablo

Hi, For this scenario, I would check the vdp.log file located in **<Denodo-Home>/logs/vdp** folder for more information about this error by setting the useful log category. For example, I would use **com.denodo.vdb.cache** log category to analyze the information about the cache. Also, I would check the “View Reports” icon of the job to know more information about the error. For more information, you can have a look at the article [Using logcontroller and useful log categories](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Using%20logcontroller%20and%20useful%20log%20categories?category=Operation) and also can refer to the section **Reports** of the document [jobs](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/scheduler/administration/creating_and_scheduling_jobs/jobs/jobs#jobs). Besides that, If you are a valid support user, you can raise a support ticket so that our Denodo Support team can help you. Hope this helps!

We checked the logs and there is no information. Any insight about what are the reasons to this kind of error? Why could it happen some days and others not?

Hi, I would check the logs after enhancing the different logging levels as mentioned in Knowledge Base Article [Using logcontroller and useful log categories](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Using%20logcontroller%20and%20useful%20log%20categories?category=Operation). For example, I would set the level as info by executing the below command from the VQL shell. `CALL LOGCONTROLLER(‘com.denodo.vdb.cache’, ‘info’)` Then I will execute the scheduler job and analyze the logs to get more information. Please also ensure to have the latest update of the Denodo Platform because it includes many fixes related to the query delegation. Hope this helps!
