Create view from the predefined Denodo stored procedures

How do you create a base view from the predefined/out-of-the-box Denodo stored procedures? I do not see them listed in the element tree although I am able to return results as well as list the procedures via the VQL shell query.

Hi, In order to create a base view from the predefined/out-of-the-box Denodo stored procedures, you should create the base view using the “Create from query” option from JDBC or ODBC sources. You can follow the steps on [Creating Base Views from SQL Queries](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/creating_data_sources_and_base_views/jdbc_sources/jdbc_sources#creating-base-views-from-sql-queries) document to create your base view from predefined Denodo stored procedure. Hope it helps!

What if we are leveraging the GET_VIEW_COLUMNS() predefined stored procedure that looks across all Denodo view structures that are inherent to Denodo? There isn't a JDBC/ODBC connection to Denodo itself.

Hi, You should connect to Denodo through JDBC by choosing the Denodo Virtual DataPort <version number> as an adapter from the drop-down menu. Then you can create the base view through query. Similarly, you can choose to connect to Denodo via ODBC data source and create a base view from the query. Hope it helps!
