Hi, If you want to insert specific values in a new column, you will have to add that column in the data source and from denodo do a source refresh to be able to see the changes. If the column has been added into the source database, you can open the base view > Edit> and click on the Source Refresh button. (https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/creating_data_sources_and_base_views/source_refresh/source_refresh) This way the updated columns will be reflected in the base view. To insert the values from Denodo base view you can use the VQL command INSERT INTO <base_view>(<field_name1>, <field_name2>...) VALUES(<value1>, <value2>...) More details in: (https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/vql/inserts_updates_and_deletes_over_views/insert_statement/insert_statement) Hope this helps!
