Metadata proc - datasource for a base view

Is there a predefined stored proc where I can see the details of the datasource for a base view? I've been looking through https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/vql/stored_procedures/predefined_stored_procedures/predefined_stored_procedures but can't seem to find this info. I can find the source database name, the schema and the table but not the datasource for it. I am looking to be able to retrieve the server from the server URI details

Hi, You can execute the DESC command to see the details of a data source, e.g. for the jdbc data source ``` DESC DATASOURCE JDBC <data source name> ``` Please, refer to the section [Output Schema of the DESC Commands](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/developer/appendix/output_schema_of_the_desc_commands/output_schema_of_the_desc_commands) in the Virtual DataPort Developer Guide for more information. Additionally, if you have a valid support account, you can open a support ticket for any further question about Denodo Platform. Hope this helps!

I probably wasn't clear, I am looking to be able to get this info for a report so would need to be able to retrieve this info via a SQL statement on Denodo

Hi, To extract the detailed information for report review, you could develop a custom stored procedure or create a view based on the DESC command. Currently, the stored procedure for extracting that information directly does not exist. You can refer to the section [Developing Stored Procedures](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/developer/developing_extensions/developing_stored_procedures/developing_stored_procedures) and also a similar community question in this [link](https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=9060g000000bmSMAAY&title=Extract+the+origin+of+a+data+source+in+metadata+for+report+view). Hope this helps!
