denodo insert/update and storage optimization.

Hi Team, I have following business case we have table 1 in database 1( Oracle : Database 1 : Table 1), denodo reading this table, interface with name interface-table1 and UI reading this interface view Now user using UI interface( interface-table1) do some changes in the data(example change value of one or two column, or add delta value to existing columns), we want to insert that updated data into table 2 in database 2( Oracle : Database 2 : Table 2), this Table 2 is same structure as table 1, i mean same schema and call this as QA env 1 Now user using UI interface( interface-table1) do some changes in the data(example change value of one or two column, or add delta value to existing columns), we want to insert that updated data into table 3 in database 3( Oracle : Database 3 : Table 3), this Table 3 is same structure as table 1, i mean same schema and call this as QA env 2. Can we do this in denodo?

Hi, For your case, you could build a custom stored procedures in Java that would implement the functionality to dynamically create and insert/update into tables of different databases/environments whenever a data change happens over an Interface view. In order to develop a Custom Stored Procedure in Virtual DataPort, you could use the Denodo4E extension for Eclipse available in the directory, *<DENODO_HOME>/tools/denodo4e*. You can refer to [Installing Denodo4E](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/denodo4e/install_denodo4e/install_denodo4e#installing-denodo4e) and [Creating an Extension Project with a Custom Stored Procedure](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/denodo4e/vdp_itp_server_tutorial/vdp_itp_server_tutorial#creating-an-extension-project-with-a-custom-stored-procedure) sections of Denodo4E User Guide. Once the stored procedure is created in a jar file, you have to import it into the Virtual DataPort Administration tool by navigating to *File > Extensions Management* option. For more information, you can refer to [Developing Stored Procedures](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/developer/developing_extensions/developing_stored_procedures/developing_stored_procedures#developing-stored-procedures) and [Importing Stored Procedures](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/stored_procedures/importing_stored_procedures/importing_stored_procedures#importing-stored-procedures) sections of Virtual DataPort Developer Guide. Hope this helps!
