Element Management Page in the Data Catalog displays all elements in the Virtual DataPort server (as of last synchronization) whereas Search Page lists only elements for which the logged user has metadata/execute privilege.
For your scenario, I would click the view in the Element Management page that you had cited. If I don't have metadata access on the view, it would throw an “Insufficient privileges” error and that explains the reason why it was available in Element Management page but not in Search page. Setting the necessary(metadata and/or execute) privileges at Virtual DataPort server and relogging into Data Catalog should solve the problem.
