SSAS and SQL Server

We have a large number of stored procedures where data is pulled from an SSAS cube on the same server as SQL Server, and combined with data from the SQL Server tables. We currently use a linked server, openquery and MDX to pull the data from SSAS. This creates some issues with execution plans since it can't estimate the number of rows that will be returned from SSAS. Is this really the only way to connect SSAS Training and SQL Server?

Hi, I am not sure if your question is related to the Denodo, note that this forum is for questions related to the Denodo Platform. If what you need is to have Denodo retrieving data from MS SSAS, you can do that by creating a Multidimensional DB data source in Virtual DataPort Administration Tool specifying the XMLA URI. For connecting to SASS you will have to define it as a Multidimensional DB data source. For more details, you can follow this knowledge-based article. https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/SSAS%20as%20data%20source?category=Data+Sources Hope this answers your question!
