Hi, This error may occur, if the user does not have the administrator privileges. However, to launch the Denodo Platform with administrator privileges, right-click on the Denodo shortcut and click “Run as administrator”. You can also launch the Denodo Platform by executing the **denodo-platform.bat **(for windows) or **denodo-platform.sh** (for Linux) loacted in <DENODO_HOME>/bin directory with the administrator privileges. For more details, you can refer to the[ Launching the Denodo Platform Control Center](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/platform/installation/denodo_platform_control_center/launching_the_denodo_platform_control_center/launching_the_denodo_platform_control_center) section of the Denodo Platform Installation Guide. If still you are not able to start the Denodo Platform, you can check the **denodo-launcher.log** file located in the <DENODO_HOME>/logs/launcher directory for more information. Hope this helps!

Hi, Generally, this error occurs when the environment variable JAVA_HOME is either not set or you do not have sufficient privileges to access environment variables or its associated directories. For more details, you can refer to [Other Preinsatallation Tasks](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/platform/installation/preinstallation_tasks/other_preinstallation_tasks/other_preinstallation_tasks#check-the-path-environment-variable-on-windows) section of the Denodo Installation Guide. You can also refer to an existing community [Q&A](https://community.denodo.com/answers/question/details?questionId=9060g000000blwzAAA&title=Errot+installing+DENODO+Express+7.0) that talks about how to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable in Windows operating system. Hope this helps!
