SQL Query Reference

We have a customer who is trying to use our software to query via ODBC a Denodo virtual database. Apparently something about the way we format the SELECT statement is not liked by your query engine. Where can I find a reference on your SQL query language?

Hi, Virtual DataPort provides a language called Denodo VQL (Denodo Virtual Query Language) which extends SQL with the required capabilities in a distributed information integration environment. There could be differences in converting SQL to VQL and I would suggest referring to the [Best Practices for Migrating SQL queries to Denodo VQL](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Best%20Practices%20for%20Migrating%20SQL%20queries%20to%20Denodo%20VQL?category=Best+Practices) Knowledge Base article which gives a quick references of VQL functions equivalent to functions in other database systems. Also, you can refer to the [Queries: SELECT Statement](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/vql/queries_select_statement/queries_select_statement) of the Virtual DataPort VQL Guide for more information. Hope this helps!
