Centralized Caching Server

Hi Denodo Team, I have to achieve scalability with Denodo instances. If i introduce a load balancer and configure multiple denodo instances behind it. Is there a possibility that all the instances write to a single cache server via JDBC? Can i use any JDBC compliant DB as a cache server for Denodo ? regards Shafi

Hi, Yes, Denodo provides the option to use a single shared cache for cluster configurations. You can refer through this Knowledge Base article: [Denodo Platform Cluster Architecture](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Denodo%20Platform%20Cluster%20Architecture?category=Best+Practices) where you can find more information about cache behavior in cluster architecture. Also, Virtual DataPort can utilize only the JDBC data source as a Cache database. You can refer the section [Cache Module](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/cache_module/cache_module) of Virtual DataPort Administration Guide to get more information about the list of supported JDBC databases for Cache Engine in Denodo. Hope this Helps!
