For this scenario, I would use the “**Enter SQL**” option in the Oracle DVD to query the view of the Denodo Platform and was able to create datasets for it. Also, Oracle DVD has some problems introspecting the databases not having the schemas because of this it could not introspect the Denodo Platform.
In Denodo Platform it is always recommended to use the JDBC connection but for this case, since the Oracle DVD using the JDBC connection could not introspect the Denodo views, I have tested using the ODBC and I was able to successfully connect and introspect Denodo from Oracle DVD.
If any error occurs while trying to connect the Denodo Platform from Oracle DVD then you can check the “vdp-requests.log” and “vdp.log” files located at **<DENODO_HOME>/logs/vdp**.
You can refer to the Knowledge Base article [DSN configuration for ODBC connections to VDP](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/DSN%20configuration%20for%20ODBC%20connections%20to%20VDP?category=Northbound+Connections) for more information.
Hope this helps!
