Display View, Group By, Filter information for TREE View in Denodo and/or Data Catalog

I have built a complex view between multiple systems with Group By, Where conditions, Joins, .... When I am Tree or Data Lineage I can scroll over the the icons that represent the conditions and the information is displayed. Is there a way in Denodo 7 (preferebly Data Catalog) where all of this meta data is displayed on the screen all of the time (not just scrolling on it) and/or that a report/log/screen is available containing this information. We are looking for a way to display Business Rules, Conditions, Associiations, Process Flow between systems (represented by a view) so that Business Users can see the details (rules) behind the complex view. In essence I want a way to document all of the business rules associated with that view. Thank you in advance. Thanks, Mitchell

Hi, I was able to retrieve most of the required information from a view with the help of [Predefined Stored Procedures]( available in Denodo Platform. The stored procedure [VIEW_DEPENDENCIES()]( allows you to obtain programmatically the same information that the Virtual DataPort Administration Tool displays in the “Tree view” dialog of a derived view. I created a derived view on top of this stored procedure in Virtual DataPort Administration Tool to extract the list of all dependencies of the derived view, including the type of join, Flatten and Selection and then exposed the view results in Data Catalog to achieve the desired result. Similarly, I was able to extract the information of associations in which the view is involved by querying the predefined stored procedure [GET_ASSOCIATIONS()]( You might also be interested in the stored procedures [CATALOG_VDP_METADATA_VIEWS()]( and [COLUMN_DEPENDENCIES()]( to explore further on Virtual DataPort Metadata Management. Additionally, if you still need help and if you are a user with valid Support account, you may open a support case at the Denodo Support Site and the support team will help you. Hope this helps!
