Hi, The reason you are not seeing the credential pop up window is dependent on the authentication method in the “Setting” tab of the SOAP web service dialog. You can protect the access to a REST or SOAP Web service by configuring its authentication method. If you change it to “None” or any other methods that use the credentials of the Web Service, then the credential pop up will be shown. If the authentication method uses the credentials of the Web Service’s Clients, then it will not ask you to choose the credentials. For more information, please refer to the [Web Services Authentication](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/publication_of_web_services/web_services_authentication/web_services_authentication) document. Hope this helps!

Hi Team, SOAP WS. Authentication medium is 'WSS Basic With VDP' with 1 user in accepted users(s) list. This is a Denodo non-LDAP user. With this medium how to enable credential pop up window. Thanks.

Hi, Authentication method of “WSS Basic With VDP” uses the Credentials of the Web Service’s Clients. That is, the Web service will connect to Virtual DataPort with the credentials used by the client of the Web service. Only users whose user name is in the “Accepted user(s)” list will have access to the Service (separate user names with commas). If this list is empty, the Web Service will accept all Virtual DataPort users. Since this authentication method uses the credentials used by the client of the Web service, the credential pop up will not be shown as it has already been provided at runtime. If you would like to enable the credential pop up, change the authentication method to any method that uses the Credentials of the Web Service. For more information, please refer to the [Web Services Authentication](https://community.denodo.com/docs/html/browse/7.0/vdp/administration/publication_of_web_services/web_services_authentication/web_services_authentication) document. Hope this helps!
