The JDBC URI for my oracle database is jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:port:database and when i try to put jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:port:database:1521:xe it doesnt work

Hi, In the [JDBC URI](, the parameters of the underlying data source such as the host system it is located on, the port number that it is using, etc.,has to be specified. The syntax of the URI is, `jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:port:database` And from what I understand from URI, for your scenario, the port is 1521, database is xe and in the host's place you have to specify the hostname of the system it is located on. for example, if your hostname is 'localhost', the URI has to be something like, `jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe` Hope this helps!
