Checking for corrupt metadata

We have run into issues recently where one of our VDBs, or the entire dbmetadata database has become corrupt. Is there any type of checks than can be done to alert us when this happens for a faster response time?

Hi, Virtual DataPort uses the logging library **Apache Log4j** to log the activity of the Virtual DataPort server and its Administration Tool. One of the possible way to have an alert when such error occurs would to create a SMTP Appender in the log4j configuration of the Server so that you can send an email when something on FATAL level occurs. There is a Knowledge Base guide, titled [Configuring alerts in Denodo ](https://community.denodo.com/kb/view/document/Configuring%20alerts%20in%20Denodo?category=Operation) that helps to provide the steps to configuring this under the **Log4j Alerts** section. Hope this helps!
